I heard the emergency broadcast system on campus for the first time today. I thought there was an earthquake--one of my greatest fears about moving to California concerned the possibility of death by earthquake--but, no, it was a broadcast saying, "The threat is over". (The threat being a bomb scare).
Is it weird the message saying the threat was gone was scarier than the actual warning broadcast?
